Today marks a significant milestone in our journey at Presentations.AI - we're announcing our $3M seed round led by Accel Partners.
But this isn't just a funding announcement. This is a story of persistence, patience, and the power of taking the long view.
When we started this journey many years back, AI was still largely theoretical for most businesses. PowerPoint remained unchallenged, and companies collectively wasted 55 billion hours each year crafting presentations - a staggering $1.2 trillion drain on the global economy.
We saw this problem and knew there had to be a better way.
Our journey hasn't been easy. We've faced multiple near-death experiences, countless skeptics, and moments where giving up seemed like the rational choice.
Through it all, Shekhar Kirani and Accel Partners stood by us, making what many called a contrarian bet on our vision. Their patience has been extraordinary, defying the typical "fail fast" Silicon Valley mentality.
What makes today's announcement particularly special is the remarkable group of founders and operators who have supported us through the years, even when there was no rational reason to believe that we had a chance. We're honored to have the support of visionaries like Vijay Shekhar Sharma, Kunal Shah, Phanindra Sama, Girish Mathrubhootham, Aneesh Reddy Boddu, Ankit Oberoi, Herb Madan, Krish Subramanian, Ashish Tulsian, Mrigank Tripathi, Shanmugam Nagarajan, Shanti Mohan, Suresh Sambandam, Vinod Muthukrishnan and many other founders who have built category-defining companies from India. Their belief in our mission validates our conviction that the next generation of world-class SaaS companies will emerge from Indian entrepreneurs solving universal problems.
Since launching our public beta in 2023, we've been humbled by the response. We reached one million users in just 84 days - without spending a dollar on marketing. This organic growth reinforces our belief that we're solving a real, pressing problem that affects everyone from interns to CEOs. We have since gone on to add millions of users more and equally importantly built a business that is drawing in millions of dollars in profit, not just revenue.
Looking ahead, we're not just building better presentation software - we're on a mission to eliminate what we call "slide debt." We're developing the world's first AI presentation agent and working toward our goal of reaching one billion users. This funding will help us accelerate that vision.
To our early users who took a chance on us, our team who believed in the mission, and our investors who supported us through the years - thank you. This is just the beginning of our journey to transform how the world communicates ideas.
